With over a decade of experience in the field, she has a comprehensive knowledge of social resources and immigration services. She is committed to empowerment for Vietnamese individuals and families, and has a proven track record of success as a result-driven social service specialist.
Thuan earned her Master’s degree in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. Her relevant coursework includes capacity building, aligning policy and practice in development, and responsible leadership. As a faculty assistant, Thuan guided and supported first-year students in their academic and personal growth.
She has conducted intake and needs assessments for clients and provided assistance with social matters such as immigration, health insurance, social security, and housing applications. Thuan has also consulted with clients and their families on how to create a supportive environment to overcome matters that affect their lives, advocated for clients and their families, and developed resources and service handbooks to help with the referral process.
